Learning Material
Our learning material consists of a book and a DVD documenting the lives of Brazilian people who have become an integral part of British society. It raises awareness of the social contributions this ethnic group makes in London’s diverse communities and stimulates a wider debate about multiculturalism and heritage.
Targeting KS3 students, the book and DVD come with an easy guide to activities to complement the intellectual debate initially proposed by the material.
The original interviews have been edited to facilitate comprehension and to lead students to the more relevant aspects of the stories/interviews, instigating response. A breakdown of the techniques used to carry out the interviews also features in the material, generating more ideas for future work.
